Loved it! Hergest Lee Cabin was perfect for a very relaxed break. The location is great for walks and runs in the countryside (if you dont mind a few hills)! and the cabin is full of everything we needed to really unwind and kick back! Waking up to that amazing view was wonderful ! - Sara

Our stay at Paul and Rachel’s was perfect - so many lovely touches and detail has gone into making this cabin the perfect bolt hole and escape from London. There’s a lot of nature to take in in this beautiful corner of the world, and the cabin is the perfect base for exploring. Thanks so much!

We stayed at Hergest Lee for two nights and really wish we had more time there. The cabin is so beautifully crafted and you can tell so much hard work and love has gone into it. We instantly felt relaxed as soon as we arrived in the tranquil countryside and had a friendly welcome from Paul. The welcome hamper of wine, homemade honey and jam was delicious and the warm, homemade bread was the best we ever tasted. The location is perfect for accessing breathtaking scenery and long walks in the local area which we really enjoyed. We really needed a calm, peaceful weekend from the hectic day to day which is exactly what we had and returned feeling refreshed. The cabin was simultaneously cosy and spacious and had all of the amenities we needed and more. We really can’t fault our stay and will hopefully be returning very soon.

We had a wonderful stay in Hergest Lee Cabin. There was 4 of us, 2 adults and 2 children. The boys loved the mezzanine cabin bed, which could comfortable sleep 3 in one single and 1 double. We took a steep walk up the hill and visited the Water Break is Back Waterfall, followed by a soak in the bath (don't forget your bath salts and bath oils to make the most of it!) with a glass of wine and views of the hill. It was very relaxing! We cooked every day and there was plenty of kitchen utensils, pots & pans etc and we even enjoyed a film with cake and popcorn when the rain decided to pour.

My family of 4 people - 2 adults and 2 children took a short break which was so enjoyable in every area. Location was excellent, lots of things to do and see, access to amenities and great cabin. Host were warm friendly and very helpful. We choose Hergest Lee Cabin because we loved the style and look along with the location.

Paul is a great host, super communicative and when some challenges at home meant we missed a few days of our trip, threw in lots of nice touches that made up for lost time. The cabin itself is beautifully designed, very comfortable and (I think) much bigger than it looks. They make great use of the space, and every thing was very comfortable we were happy to spend a whole day in doors when it rained. Highly recommend.

We had a lovely relaxing stay, the cabin had a rustic yet luxurious feel. Neither of us has ever been in such a big bath, best view from a bath ever! The freshly baked bread on arrival was delicious as were the cherries. Paul and Rachel were very helpful in giving us local tips on places to visit and eat. The whole design of the cabin was fantastic, cosy yet spacious, cleverly designed with beautiful house plants. Thank you for a wonderful stay

We spent a relaxing two nights at the cabin with our 17 year old daughter. Plenty of room and fully equipped. Great location. Wonderful hosts on hand to assist with anything. Wish we could have stayed longer.

We were honoured to be Paul and Rachael's first official guests - and based on our experience, we very much suspect we'll be the first of many happy campers! The property itself is truly unique, set in a stunning and remote spot (which was exactly what we were looking for post lockdown) overlooking the picturesque Hanter Hill/Hergest Ridge. You can really tell that Paul and Rachael have poured their hearts and souls into this place, with Paul himself having designed and built it with his own hands. The result is pure charm, with immaculate attention to detail and lovely little touches throughout. Paul and Rachael were fantastic, very responsive, and provided us with great tips and advice on the local area, and even offered some fresh salad from their garden, which went down a treat with our dinner. And of course.... THAT bath! Thanks Paul and Rachael, a real gem of a stay :)
